So much to do, so little time

Yep.. I'm hideously behind with updates here.. I've got a number of mods planned for my ruckus that I just haven't had time to get to lately. Still haven't put the pirellis on, CDI, tach, seat cover (yeah, got a great seat cover from HT Moto) and more..

Need to post pictures up here too, but you know you can always look at my flickr page for the latest photos.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/wjr

Anyhow, thought i'd say something.. I'll post more soon, got a lot to do!

Winter is coming, too.. which means.. front disc brake conversion, forks, wheel, levers... brembo caliper hopefully... we'll see!

Getting caught up

I really need to get caught up with updates on here. First of all, Ed at Advantage Design Graphics made us some REALLY SWEET decals, which I'll get pictures of posted very soon. Essentially the same design as the header graphic on this site -- RUCKUPS -- which has now replaced the stock "RUCKUS" sticker on the sides of my bike.

Also, last weekend, Special K, Rucko and I worked on their bikes to get NCY frame extensions installed.. Went off without a hitch. I need to get photos of that extravaganza uploaded as well.

Haven't forgotten, just haven't had time. That's all for now, more updates to come!

I will become a true throttle master

The Posh CF CDI increases timing advance and eliminates the 8,000rpm rev limit. Combined with a tachometer, this little piece of tech will complete my performance mods for the year.

update: i'm actually going to sell this, i think.. and pick up a 10.5k limit version.. not quite ready to blow up my engine yet :P

tires. these.

260mm shock

no idea what kind of shock it even is, but it fits, and its 260mm. a FULL CENTIMETER shorter than the one i used to use.

Wanted: a bracket thingy.

You know what would be great? A little metal bracket that bolts on the end of the swingarm and supports the OEM fender where the airbox used to be. I know a lot of people just take the rear fender off and just run with a mudguard--or nothing--and just never ever drive in the rain or mud, but here in northern Michigan it's pretty hard to avoid the rain, especially when you ride as your primary mode of transportation and let the car sit in the driveway all summer, starting it up and hosing it down every couple of weeks...

I've fiddled around with some scrap metal in the garage, but haven't come up with anything serious yet. Haven't found anyone offering black anodized aluminum brackets that bolt in this manner either.

In other news, 260mm shock, tanax bar-end mirror and rear frame cover arrived today. The mod-pile grows ever larger. Got a variator tool coming from uncle ruckus on TR, so the variator swap will be happening soon as well. Read more »
